What is incidence?
The number of new cases in a population over a given period of time

- Predisposing (Vulnerability factors)
- Precipitating (Triggering factors)

What are predisposing factors?
Long-term risks, like genetics or early life trauma (biological, psychological, or social).
What are precipitating factors?
Immediate triggers or events that lead to the problem, like stress or a traumatic event.
What are perpetuating factors?
Ongoing factors that maintain the problem, like poor coping skills or lack of support.
What are protective factors?
Strengths or supports that help prevent or reduce the problem, like a strong social network or healthy habits.
What does the ADDRESSING Model of Diversity stand for?
Age, Developmental Disability, Disability (Acquired), Religion, Ethnicity & Race, Socioeconomic Status, Sexual Orientation, Indigenous Group Membership, National Origin & Language, Gender.

Small, often unintentional insults or actions that negatively impact marginalized groups.
