The Modern Meaning of History

We study history based on a point of view of a group.
The view points
The cultural identity and beliefs were given by invading nations.
Colonialism
An instance when the discovered island try to preserve and show distinct identity, in the scenario we revert back to our old days like making baybayin more popular in the modern word.
Post-colonialism
Requires that knowledge must be empirical and evidence that is oberservable evidence. It is from this school of thought came the dictum: no evidence, no history.

Rigor
Certain format, styles, and rules have to be followed when writing historical research.
Research tradition
Identifying the problem, making hypothesis, experiment, and make a conclusion.

These are sources produced during the same period of what as under study.
