Characteristics of Paucibacillary
Tubercoloid and indeterminate Incubation Period: 1-4 yrs
Not infectious
Few lesions
Few bacilli
6-9 mos treatment

Lepromatous and borderline
Incubation Period: 4-8 yrs
Highly Infectious
More lesions
More bacilli
24-30 mos treatment

Rifampicin 600mg 1/month
Dapsone 100mg daily

Rifampicin 600mg 1/month
Clofazimine 300mg 1/month
Dapsone 100mg daily
Tx for Paucibacillary Leprosy in adults day 2-28
Dapsone 100mg daily
6 blister packs monthly for 6-9 months
Tx for Multibacillary Leprosy in adults day 2-28
Dapsone 100mg and Clofazimine 50mg daily
12 blister packs monthly, max: 18 months
