Lights

city lights, parking lights, side lights (green) - 4 conditions: on to park at night, on the carriageway, outside built-up area
fog lights (front) (green): visibility is bad <200m, due to rain, snow, fog
rear fog light (orange): visibility <50m due to fog or snow NO RAIN
daytime running lights (automatically on in day and off in night) (when on, dipped lights are off)
Tyre damage
Overinflated = damage in the middle
Underinflated = damage on outer edges
Poor road holding = increased fuel consumption
Tyre measurements
min tread depth = 1.6 mm
rec for winter = 4mm
rec for summer = 2.5mm
winter tyres: not compulsory but can be used when <7C, if used in summer there is a longer breaking distance because they have no good grip

most rutting in lane 3 (right most)
thicker tyre = more struggle w/
aquaplaning (truck more, bike less)
slow down when aquaplaning (release pedal)
tyre valve cap
green cap = filled w/ nitrogen gas to increase life expectancy of tyre
black cap = normal air
should you turn off your engine when in traffic?
yes, after 1 minute
saving fuel techniques
good anticipation, correct tyre pressure, good following distance, constant speed, closed windows, AC off, less weight/members in the car, high gear + low RPM
fuel saving systems
cruise control (clock looking image) = car drives automatically on 1 speed
start/stop (A symbol) - automatic start-stop
