what is Employment legislation?
a body of UK law designed to protect both
employees and employers by defining the rights of each and their
responsibilities to each other.
what is Legislation?
the Acts of Parliaments that have been passed into law by Royal Consent. Normally, this would be ‘primary legislation’, which lays out the objectives and parameters of the act in question.
what is Duty of care?
Duty of care concerns health and safety at work.It is a person’s responsibility not to harm others through carelessness.
Duty of care is a legal term meaning that breaches of duty of care –
known as negligence – can be pursued through the courts.
