All tenancies will become monthly periodic agreements, ending the use of fixed-term contracts
Tenants can terminate their tenancy with 2 months’ notice
Landlords are restricted from serving notice during the first 12 months unless the tenant is at fault
Landlords will no longer be able to evict tenants without a valid reason, enhancing tenant security
Rent increases are limited to once per year and must align with market rates. 2 months’ notice of any increase
Right to Request Pets: landlords can only refuse with valid reasons
