Iatrogenic mostly

What are the clinical features of ureter trauma?
A
Flank pain, urinary incontinence, vaginal
or drain urinary leakage, haematuria, fever, uraemia or urinoma

How is ureter trauma diagnosed?
A
Retrograde pyelogram (injection of radiocontrast agent into the ureter in order to visualize the ureter and kidney with fluoroscopy or radiography)

What is the treatment for ureter trauma?
A
(Minor) Ureteric stenting
(Major) Emergency repain +/- Nephrostomy drainage
