Q

Function and leaving point of cranial nerve III?

damage results in?

A

Q

Function and leaving point of cranial nerve VII?

A

Motor function for facial expression, PSMP of submandibular, sulingual and lacrimal glands

Sensory function (taste) of the anterior 2/3 of the tongue + soft palate

Internal acoustic meatus

Facial nerve palsy results in a dry mouth and alterd taste not to mention loss of expression

Q

Bell’s Palsy

A

Loss of expression on one side of the face due to inflammation of the facial nerve, can be from herpes or any other infection leading to inflammation. Can resolve itself if the acute inflammation goes away.
