Q

what is the difference between liberal and critical multicultural perspectives?

A

liberal aims to address ‘the problem’ of ethnic and cultural diversity through efforts of simple recognition of ethnic, cultural and/or linguistic differences. There is no need to explain the teaching, they just do it to “check off the box” in PE class. While critical multiculturalism consists of “understanding, engaging, and transforming the diverse histories,
cultural narratives, representations, and institutions that produce racism and other forms of discrimination”
