2. Practices (condom usage and kinds of sex had)
3. Protection from STDs (what do you need for protection)
4. Past history of STDs (have you or partner had STIs?)
5. Prevention of Pregnancy

Question 2

When to screen for Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)

Answer 2

• best time = wellness visit with patient
• also OK to screen when injury/illness makes you suspect something
• more often, women are abused by men, but there is also violence in same sex couples and to men by women
• screening done while patient is clothed and in private

Question 3

HITS (IPV Screening)

Answer 3

• self-reported or physician administered
• Hit, Insult, Threaten, Scream)

1 = never, 3 = sometimes, 5 = frequently

• score of 10+ = positive screen

Question 4

STAT (IPV Screening)

Answer 4

• physician administered
• Slapped, Threatened, and Thrown
• positive answer to any of these questions = positive screen
