What is some related information to the represenatives of gymnosperms
A
- motile sperm cells can be found only in cycads and ginkgos
- cycads have fern-like pinnate leaves with circinate vernation
- conifers produce resin in resin ducts;
- pollen grains have often large sacs which aid their effective wind dispersal.
- Seeds of confers are mostly hidden in woody seed cones but sometimes they grow single, surrounded by fleshy tissue (such as in yew or podocarps)
