Explain how archae adapt to high saline environments

A

Archaea adapt to high saline environments by primarily preventing salt from translocating inside or through excretion. There are high levels of K and Cl to counter the presence of Na and Cl. Therefore they accumulate compatible solutes to prevent water loss.
