Lecture 19 - Microbialbioinformatics Flashcards
1
Q
Describe the importance of microbial bioinformatics and its use in today’s scientific research industry. Give examples
A
Microbial bioinformatics is the use of computers for the analysis of biological information which contributes greatly to today’s scientific research. This information gained from allows us to predict and visualise proteins and their interactions, contribute to nucleotide sequence analysis where fragments are used to obtain the whole genome allowing the understanding of microbial variation.
