Lecture 29: Abdomen and pelvic vessels Flashcards
List the 4 parietal branches of the abdominal aorta
-Phrenicoabdominal aa
-Cranial abdominal aa
-Lumbar aa
-Deep circumflex iliac aa
List the 5 visceral branches of the abdominal aorta
-Celiac artery
-Cranial mesenteric artery
-Renal aa
-Testicular/ovarian aa
-Caudal mesenteric artery
What are the three branches of the celiac artery
Left gastric, hepatic, splenic arteries
What are the 3 branches of the hepatic artery?
Hepatic, right gastric and gastroduodenal arteries
Where does the right gastric artery go?
Lesser curvature of the stomach, lesser omentum
What are the two branches of the gastroduodenal artery
Right gastroepiploic and cranial pancreaticoduodenal arteries
What does the right gastroepiploic artery supply
greater curvature of stomach and greater omentum
What does the cranial pancreaticoduodenal artery supply
early duodenum and adjacent right lobe of the pancreas
What does the left gastric artery supply
lesser curvature of stomach, has esophageal branches
What are the 3 branches of the splenic artery
Pancreatic branches, short gastric aa, and left gastroepiploic artery
-splenic continues on to supply spleen through hilus
What do the pancreatic branches of the splenic artery supply
left lobe of the pancreas
What do the short gastric arteries supply
fundus of the stomach
What does the left gastroepiploic artery supply
greater curvature of the stomach and greater omentum
What organs/structures does the celiac artery supply
Spleen, pancreas, stomach, esophagus, liver, GB, duodenum, greater and lesser omentum
What are the 4 branches of the cranial mesenteric artery?
-Ileocolic artery
-Caudal pancreaticoduodenal artery
-Jejunal aa
-Ileal aa
