A hoerizon –> decay of humus and mineral mix.

O and A form dark topsoil

E horizon –> Zone of Leaching. washing our of soluble materials

B horizon –> or called the “sub soil” Accumulation zone for the clay minerals and soluble substabces from the E horison

C horizon –> Weathered and broken up bedrock

last is bed rock
