Lecture 2 - Measuring behaviour Flashcards
Read green text on page 1 of G doc notes.
Understand?
What are two formal ways of measuring behaviour?
- Continuous recording
- Interval recording
How would we measure the reliability of rate data?
Inter observe reliability
See red text on page 1 of G doc notes.
What is the main way that you can increase inter observer reliability?
By having a really precisely defined target behaviour.
What is a simple frequency graph?
A graph in which each data point indicates the number of times a behaviour occurred over a period of time.
What is a cumulative frequency graph?
A graph in which each data point indicates the total number of times the behaviour has occurred up to that point in time.
What is a single case experimental design?
See blue text on page 2 of G doc notes.
What is a baseline period?
See blue text on page 2 of G doc notes.
What is an ABAB reversal design?
See blue text on page 2 of G doc notes.
What is a multiple baseline design?
See blue text on page 2 of G doc notes.
What is an alternate treatment design?
See blue text on page 2 of G doc notes.
Describe an A-B design method
See blue text on page 3 fo G doc notes.
Describe the Dadarrio et al. (2007) study that uses an A-B design.
Critically analyse the study
See blue text on page 3 of G doc notes.
Describe the Krentz et al (2016) study that uses the A-B-A-B reversal design.
See blue text on page 3-4 of G doc notes.
Describe a multiple baseline design method.
See blue text on page 4 of G doc notes.
