What does the power distance dimensions mean?
The extent to which the less powerful members of institutions and organizations within a country expect and accept that power is distributed unequally
What does the individualism vs collectivism dimension mean?
The degree of interdependence a society maintains among its members
-> ‘We’ vs ‘I’
What is the difference between the masculinity side and the feminine side in the masculinity vs femininity dimension?
Masculine: achievement, heroism assertiveness, and material rewards
-> Competitive
Feminine: cooperation, modesty, caring for the weak and quality of life
-> Consensus-oriented
What does the uncertainty avoidance dimension mean?
The extent to which members of a culture feel threatened by ambiguous or unknown situations
-> Take less risk
What does the long-term orientation dimension mean?
How every society has to maintain some links with its own past while dealing with the challenges of the present and future

The extent to which people try to control their desires and
impulses
