A

there are difficulties in diagnosing sexual abuse in children which led clinicians to try non-verbal methods, however this technique is not very good as there is not enough research to back it up

A

helps children to talk about an experience, even if the drawing is not relevant to the experience
can also help the interviewer as makes silence less awkward and can let the child talk when they want, they do not have to ask as many questions

A

a group of children took a trip to a fire station, and were interviewed about the trip the next day, but in 2 separate groups
the two manipulated variables were
1. the interview method, either being, draw and tell, or, tell
2. question types, being a combination of free and directed
1 group had each of the interview methods, however both groups were interviewed with a mixture of both question type
