Q

factors contributing to a species abscence

A

dispersal

behavior=Once an organism accesses a habitat, some exercise choice about where to live

Biotic interactions= a species ability to persist depends on interactions with other species

Abiotic constraints= An organism must be able to
survive, grow, and reproduce in the physical environment.[think of earth’s spheres and how they benefit the animal]

Q

Intermediate disturbance hypothesis

A

suggests that local species diversity is maximized when ecological disturbance is neither too rare nor too frequent. At high levels of disturbance, due to frequent forest fires or human impacts like deforestation, all species are at risk of going extinct.
