A

What does anterior/ventral mean? What does posterior/dorsal mean?

A

Anterior/ventral means closer to the front. Posterior/dorsal means closer to the back

A

Superior/cranial mean closer to the top/head. Inferior/caudal means closer to the bottom/foot.

Medial means closer to the midline of the body. Lateral means farther from the midline of the body.

Proximal means closer to the “trunk” or closer to the beginning. Distal means farther from the “trunk” or closer to the end.
