What were the results found from Aron et al 1997?

A

Gave undergrad students paired w another student they dont know 36 questions designed to generate interpersonal closeness. They were instructed to discuss 3 sets of questions over 15 mins each.
Closeness vs small talk conditions.

Results from Aron et al 1997:
Those assigned to the closeness condition reported significantly higher closeness compared to the small talk condition
Closeness condition: The relationship between the pairs rated as close as the average relationship in their lives
