Order: Coleoptera
-Beetles like this Ladybird Beetle (ladybug) are found in this order
Order: Blattodea
- This order are where termites are located and cockroach like the picture
- Termites and cockroach in order blattodea
- Order: Raphidioptera
- This is a Snakefly, notice how fly is combined with the word. This shoes it is NOT a true fly
Order:Siphonaptera
-This are fleas, you can remember them in this order by saying they siphon the blood off animals
Order:Orthoptera
-This picture is of a grasshopper
Order: Lepidoptera
- This is a monarch butterfly
- Butterflies and moths fall into this category
Order: Coleoptera
-This is a Tiger Beetle. Same order as ladybug since they are beetles
Order: Hymenoptera
-This is a fire ant. Think of hymen on fire.
Order- Mecoptera
-This is a hangingfly. Not a real fly so they are together.
Order: Mantodea
-This is a Praying Mantis
Order: Orthoptera
-This is a cave cricket. It is in the same order as grasshoppers.
Order: Hemiptera
-This is a stink bug. There is a separation between the words so this is a TRUE bug. All true bugs are in Hemiptera.

-This is a Webspinner.
Order: Odonata
-This is a dragonfly. Not real fly so NO seperation.
Order: Dermaptera
- This is an earwig. Professors favorite insect.
Order: Zygentoma
-This is a silverfish. Not a real fish so one word. This insect is very primitive. Very old so remember z is the last letter in alphabet therefore primitive.
Order: Ephemeroptera
-This is a mayfly. Not real fly so one word. Live for 1 day(adult)
Order: Hemiptera
-This is a cicada and is also a true bug so it’s Hemiptera. The suborder of this is Auchenorrhyncha.
Order: Mecoptera
-This is a scorpionfly. Same order as the hanging fly so they are both Mecoptera. NOT a real fly so no separation.
Order: Diptera
-This is a Blow Fly. Separation so it is a real fly. All true flies are in diptera. Mosquitos are considered true flies so MOSQUITOS ARE INCLUDED.
Order: Hemiptera
-This is a bed bug. Space between means it is a true beetle and that’s why it’s in Hemiptera. There is a suborder, heteroptera.
Order: Mantodea
-This is a praying mantis.
