lec 15 Flashcards
stimulus control>
three-term contigency
typical procedure for studying stimulus control?
do not reinforce gen test otherwise the animals learn
also do not reinforce red e=key every single time bc then the animal will learn quickly they wont get reinforcers during the gen tests and stops reinforcing
physical stimulus vs functional stimulus?
physical stimulus is what we vary to measure behaviour and functional stimulus is what it is that affects behaviour
guttman and kalish? potential experience explaination?
intermittent reinforcement
generalisation and discrimination
the more you generalise the less u discriminate, vice versa generalisation means behaving similarily in the presence of different stimuli and discrimination is behaving different in the presence of different stimuli
THE MORE U GENERALISATION THE LESS U ARE UNDER STIMULUS CONTROL
generalisation happens but why?
innate or learned?
jenkins and harrison?
stimuluss deprivation or early rearing? #1 and #2
might already ahve experience by looking at wheat al the tiem
doesnt look like experience is critical,
