A
Broad so there is a larger surface area that is exposed to light
The upper epidermis is transparent so that light can pass through to the palisade layer
Most of the Chloroplasts are found in the palisade layer. This is so they are near the top of the leaf where they can get the most light
The waxy cuticle helps to reduce water loss by evaporation
