A

This means that information should only be shared on a need to know basis. You can not share any information with anyone else without the individuals consent. But there are exceptions, if an individual is at risk of harming others/themselves or being hurt by others.

A

This means individuals should be asked their opinions and views about the type of care and activities they would like. Their opinions and views should be taken into account wherever possible.

A

This means nobody is allowed to harm you and you are not aloud to harm others. Everyone’s life should be valued and respected. (This is one of the 6 rights).

A

Safeguarding procedures should be applied and followed at all times by staff to protect adults and children in all care environments. Health and safety legislation should be adhered too, for example fire drills and evacuation procedures. Risk assessments can also be carried out for activities/equipment for example using a hoist to lift and individual into a bath.
