Aversive Conditioning
behavioral technique often used for addictive behaviors. problems with averse conditioning is high relapse rates, lack of generalization, ethical concerns.
Overjustification
occurs when people are reinforced for behaviors they would normally do without reinforcement. when reinforcement is taken away, there is a decrease in the behavior. (ie, liking jambs juice but hating it cause Luis forces me to eat smoothies daily. )
The Premack Principle
frequently performed bx is used to reinforce an infrequently performed bx.
