- Founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1919.

WEAKNESS OF THE LEAGUE
A
Weak - No military force to enforce its decisions
America - U.S congress refused to join due to isolationism, despite it being Woodrow Wilson’s idea.
Structure - The League was disorganised and the organs did not work in harmony together.
Depression- The Great Depression meant countries could not financially invest in the League.
Unsuccessful - Very few success stories.
Members - Member countries rarely communicated with each other.
Bullies - Excluded countries such as Germany and Russia

- 1925 - The conflict border town of Petrich
- Greece invaded Bulgaria after the Bulgarian military killed a Greek Soldier
- League intervened and ordered the withdrawal of the Greek Army
- Imposed economic sanctions on Greece until they complied
