Delegative, facilitative, consultative, autocratic

Leader makes decision alone w/out input from employees
Consultative
Leader presents the problem to individual employees, asks opinion, makes decision themselves
Facilitative
Leader presents the problem to group of employees, seeks consensus on a solution
Delegative
Leader gives an individual employee the responsibility of making the decision
Day-to-day behaviors
Initiating structure (define and structure the roles of employees for goal attainment) Consideration (creating job relationships characterized by mutual trust and consideration of employee feelings)
Transformational leadership
Pattern of behaviors that inspire followers to commit to a shared vision that provides meaning to their work and sets the leader up as a role model who helps followers reach their potential. Contrasts with transactional leadership
Management by excpetion
Managers will only step in when therea re significant deviations from planned financial/operational outcomes, takes corrective action
Active MBE
Actively monitors work of employees, takes immediate corrective actions when something goes wrong
