Need to consider what type or person you are, how do you work best, who do you work best with, how do you best communicate with people? Can find this out by completing MMDI questionnaire
Leaders need to have a fir grasp of their capabilities and strengths, will improve self confidence and self esteem
Self regulation of emotions to avoid outburst
People want to work with someone who is dependable and consistent in their interactions
Leading and managing strategy and change
Trying to change too many things at once = change fatigue
Can lead to diminished morale - not all strategy’s work
Communication is key
Need to consider organisation culture which is the concept of “how we do things around here”
Want to make the most of the company’s existing culture instead of trying to change it completely
Need to consider the way people think, behave, and work and optimise this
Managing resources
Time
Money
Opportunity
Information
Space
People
Capability
Energy
Leading and managing people and performance
People are a key resource - can’t make change work without them
In an ideal workplace you want to staff to have a high energy and a positive attitude
For any sort of change need it get the employees on board and that they are willing/able to help facilitate the change
