Assuming it can be started, what checks have to be carried out before starting a main engine on the LCU Mk.10?
Oil Sump level (dipstick)
HT Water inlet and outlet valves open (check header tank level)
LT Water inlet and outlet valves open (check header tank level)
Fuel supply and return valves are open
Ensure Mini-Guard alarm panel is reset – press left, right then middle buttons

Having carried out pre-start checks (under supervision) start a main engine.
Ignition key turned to start position.
Reset Mini-Guard alarm (correct button arrangement)
Turn and hold ignition key to turn over engine. Release key when engine running.
With the engine running, take the throttle into manual (local) control and operate throttle assembly manually.
Undo knurled collar
Remove R-Clip
Move outer collar on throttle level assembly (above grey box stepper motor) to adjust
speed of engine – can be witnessed on local RPM gauge/change in engine note.
