A match is played with how many teams and how many players?
2 teams each with a maximum of 11 players, one must be a goalkeeper. A match may not start or continue if either team has less than 7 players.
What happens if a team has less than 7 players during play? eg. A player or more leave the field of play whilst the ball is in play.
The referee does not have to stop play and the advantage may be played but the match may not continue after the ball had gone out if a team has fewer than 7 players.
Do all players HAVE to be named before the match to be able to play?
YES!
How must a player, who is leaving the field, be substituted?
The referee must be informed, the player being substituted receives the referee’s permission to leave, unless already off the flied of play. Then must go straight to the technical are or dressing room.
What happens if a player refuses to leave the field of play?
Play continues
How can a player enter play in a substitution scenario?
During a stoppage of play, at the halfway line, after being replaced has left and after receiving a signal from the referee.
When can a player switch places with the goalkeeper?
When the referee is informed and in a stoppage of play;
what happens if the referee isnt informed of a change of the goal keeper?
He allows play to continue and cautions both players involved in the next stoppage of play.
How should the referee deal with a team official, sent off player or substitute that enters the field of play?
He allows play to continue if they do not interfere. Has the person removed from the field when play stops and takes appropriate disciplinary action. If they do interfere with play, it is restarted as a direct free kick or penalty kick if in the penalty area.
What should the referee do if a player who requires permission by the referee enters the field of play without the referees permission?
He stops play (not immediately if a advantage can be played or no interference). He cautions the player.
If the referee stops play for a player re-entering the field of play without permission how is play restarted?
A direct free kick or penalty from the position of where they interfered. If they did not interfere a indirect free kick is taken from where play stopped.
Should the referee disallow a goal (before play is restarted from kick-off) if an extra player, substitute, sent-off player or team official was apart of the team that scored?
Yes he should. Play is restarted with a direct free kick from the position of the extra person.
Should the referee allow a goal if a extra person on the field of play was apart of the team that conceded?
Yes he should allow it
Can the referee disallow a goal after play has restarted and realized a extra player on the field of play?
no he cannot. but remove the dam player already. and report the incident to the authorities
Does the team captain have any special status or privileges?
No except he has a degree of responsibility of the behavior of the team.
