What is to be installed at all recessed windows and ledges 6” or deeper?
And how far up and down the sides should it wrap?
Bituthane.
It should wrap up and down all sides a minimum of 4”
At all recessed windows and ledge locations the moist stop, bituthane, and grade D vapor barrier should be installed how?
Tightly into the corners
What gauge and size wire should the lather use?
1” - 20 gauge wire
What type of foam board should the lather use?
1.5 lb. tongue and groove foam
How should the foam be installed?
- Tightly utilizing the interlocking tongue and groove.
- Horizontally, with the sheets staggered at the joints.
Foam should be installed tightly to widow frames and eave blocks with a maximum gap of _______ ?
1/4”
At all mopboard locations the foam is to terminate where?
It is to terminate directly on top of the Z-bar metal.
What should be done to all the joints in the foam board?

How is R-tech or Star-R Guard installed?
All joints are to have solid backing, all non-tongue and groove seams and gaps that exceed 1/4” (including gaps at barge blocks) are to be sealed with R-tech or Star-R Guard tape.
Lath wire is to have a minimum _____ inch head lap.
And a minimum _____ inch end lap.
3”

Where does the lather install expanded metal butterflies?
At the top corners of all doors, and at all corners of window openings.

After the completion of the lath, what is the lather required to do at all “recessed” windows?
They are required to water test all “recessed” windows.
How should corner aid be secured?
It should be secured every 18” OC on both sides.
The lather is to caulk all gaps and penetrations in the foam and vapor barrier (inside and out) with what?
