to treat heart failure and certain irregular heart beats (Atrial
Fibrillation)

Complications/Precautions:
A
Adjust dose based on toxicity, efficacy and serum digoxin level, do not administer in pts with bradycardia or S/P MI

Nursing Considerations:
A
take apical heart rate x one minute before administering,
HR must be above 60 beats/minute
