What is a pidgin?
When people share no common language they invent a new language that typically has lexical items from all the contact langue as but which has it sown, very primitive grammar.c
What is a creole?
A language that was once a pidgin but which subsequently became a native language forrest some speakers - this is when children acquire a pidgin and they usually impose a more complicated grammar system on it.
What is language bioprogram hypothesis?
The hypothesis that children take a little bit of material from what they experience,add it to their own internal knowledge about language and produce a language system as a result.
What is home sign?
Deaf children in hearing homes spontaneously produce gestures in order to communicate. These gestures are known as home sign.
Based on the studies of home sign what does Goldin- Meadow propose?
That there is a form that human language naturally assumes , even when invented from scratch
