Strengths of language games?

A

Shows how language can be meaningful in a non-cognitive way, with support from sociological evidence.

We have experience of misunderstanding different concepts because of different cultural/religious beliefs, acting as personal confirmation that this is right.

Wittgenstein explains his view with illustrative examples, making it easier to understand.

Aquinas talks about the important of educating children – could this be because children have to learn religious language?
