What is free will

A

The ability to freely choose to act (comission) or not act (omission) in any given circumstance. Free will can only be achieved f people are truly able to freely choose without any external force acting upon them

A

The idea that people should be held responsible for their actions, and this receive rewards and punishments accordingly

Why does freedom have to be a condition of moral responsibility

A

If we are able to freely perform actions, it makes sense that we are held morally responsible for them.
Freedom therefore becomes a condition of moral responsibility
We should accept the blame for actions that we freely perform
