Soft field, takeoff and climb

A

Establish and maintain pitch attitude that will transfer weight of the airplane from the wheels to the wings as rapidly as possible.

Lift off at lowest possible airspeed, and remain in ground effect until accelerating to vx or vy

Private pilot: +10-5 knots
Commercial pilot +-5 knots

Maintain until to a safe, maneuvering altitude

A

Keep the nose wheel off until loss of elevator effectiveness

Short field take off

A

Use all available runway
Apply brakes, then full power.
Rotate 55 then climb at the Vx

Establish a pitch attitude and it will maintain recommended obstacle clearance airspeed or VX +10/-5 (private) +-5 (commercial) knots until obstacle is cleared or airplane is 50 feet above surface.

Then transition to clean configurations after positive rate at the Vy

Private and commercial air speed, same as above
