Q

What are the main components of Disk brakes and how do the function?

A

Rotor Disc- Connected to the internal diameter of the wheel
Stator Disc- Connected to the internal diameter of the wheel
Full Brake assembly- Friction between the rotor and stator generates braking torque

Q

How Anti-Blocking System (ABS) work?

A

It modulates the braking system pressure. Wheel speed is monitored and compared. Predetermined deceleration patterns are then implemented if one wheel is decelerating too quickly. This keeps all the wheels spinning at the same speed
