How does GPS localisation work?

A

GPS satellites are equip with atomic clocks that when gien a start time of transmission and a radio signal is received, can give a calculated distance to where the signal came from. 4 satellites are used to make GPS accurate

Inertial Navigation system- A system of gyroscopes and accelererometers. It is used to estimate the position of the craft and is accurate currently to 0.3 nm/h
