What is the function of thermal fuse plug?
Thermal fuse plugs in the inner wheel half prevent tire explosion caused by hot breaks. The plug melt to release tire pressure at approximately 390°F.
How do you identify brakes are worn?
When the break wear indicator pins are flush when brakes are set.
When our tires required to be replaced?
If it has a soft spot, bulge, crack or Cut showing cord, flat spot showing cord, tread worn beyond limits, tire pressure dropped 10% below nominal pressure.
How many shimmy damper’s are located on the P8? Where are they located?
Two, one on each main landing gear. The nosewheel steering ask as the shimmy dampener on the nose.
What are the brakes on the P8 made of?
Carbon fiber
What is the purpose of the retention cable?
It holds the brakes on the mains together.
What type of landing gears are found on the P8?
Tricycle type with air oil shocks struts
