The gear down indicators (light bulbs) are powered by what?
They each have an AC and a DC powered bulb.
What happens to the landing gear system when you move th handle to the OFF position?
Depressurizes the system.
DOORS light indicates what?
Any gear door is not closed.
GEAR light indicates what?
Disagreement between the gear handle and the gear itself.
What does the LOCK OVRD switch do?
Overrides the gear handle lock solenoid.
How does alternate gear extension work?
Alternate gear extension uses a dedicated DC pump to release the gear uplocks, the doors unlock and the gear free falls in to position. The doors remain open.
How are alternate brakes selected?
Alternate brakes are automatically selected with the loss of R hydraulic system pressure.
Does anti-skid work with alternate brakes?
Yes, but only in pairs by axle.
Auto brakes 1-MAX AUTO are based on what?
Rates of deceleration.
Is MAX AUTO braking LESS or more effective than manual braking.
LESS effective than manual braking.
What activates auto brakes?
Main wheel spin up and thrust levers at idle.
What does an AUTO BRAKES light indicate?
Auto brakes are inop or have been disarmed.
What deactivates auto brakes?
System fault Speed brakes moved toward the down position Thrust lever advanced OFF or disarmed selected Manual pedal braking
Where is BTMS indications shown?
On the STATUS page.
What happens if you have a BTMS value of 5 or greater?
Number and box display in white and you get a BRAKE TEMP light if installed.
If the brake accumulator gauge indicates in the amber band do you have enough pressure for the parking brake?
NO
PARK BRAKE light indicates what?
Handle position only! Check your brake pedals.
What does a BRAKE SOURCE light mean?
Loss of normal and alternate brakes.
Pressing the RESERVE BRAKES switch does what?
It activates the right electric hydraulic pump, regardless of switch position and uses right reserve fluid to power the normal brake system.
