It illuminates based on configuration and pressurization
With an AC power loss what do the panel and flood lights do?
Panel and flood lights switch to the standby AC bus with an AC power loss.
What does the LT OVRD switch do?
The LT OVRD switch is similar to the thunderstorm lights in other airplanes.
Where are the position lights?
Position lights are on the wing tips.
Where are the white anti-collision lights
The white anti-collision lights (white strobes) are on the wing tips.
Where are the RED ANTI-COLLISION lights (beacon)?
The RED ANTI-COLLISION lights (beacon) are the upper and lower beacons.
What is the WING light useful for?
The WING light is good for checking wing leading edge ice…mainly on the ground since you can’t see the wings from the cockpit.
Is there a taxi light installed?
There is no dedicated taxi light installed, use the nose gear light for taxi.
Whee are the landing lights located?
The landing lights are located on the leading edge of the wings, they are flush and do not extend out.
What is the min PSI for oxygen on preflight?
1000 PSI, the indicator is found on the EICAS STATUS page.
How many life vest are on board?
There is 1 life vest at each seat.
How many first aid kits are on the airplane?
One first aid kit is located in the cockpit and each slide/raft is equipped with a first aid kit.
How many PBE’s are on the airplane? Where are they located?
There are 2 PBE’s on the airplane. 1 on the flight deck and 1 in the courier area.
How many fire extinguishers are on the airplane and where are they located?
There is 1 fire extinguisher on the flight deck and 1 in the courier area. In addition there are 2 HALON haz fire extinguishers located in the courier area.
When do the OVERHEAD DOOR ANNUNCIATOR LIGHTS illuminate?
The OVERHEAD DOOR ANNUNCIATOR lights illuminate if a door is not “closed, latched and locked”.
Besides not being closed, latched and locked, what does an overhead CARGO DOORS light and an EICAS MAIN CARGO DOOR message indicate?
A CARGO DOORS light and an EICAS MAIN CARGO DOOR message indicates that the main cargo door arm switch is in the armed position. It is located on the rigid bulkhead in the courier compartment.
What does MN CARGO DOOR light on the forward panel indicate?
If the MN CARGO DOOR LIGHT on the forward panel is illuminated the main cargo door is not closed, latched and locked.
How are the cargo doors identified?
The cargo doors are identified as forward, aft and main.
How are the entry doors identified on the EICAS?
The entry doors are identified on the EICAS AS L1 and R1. The over wing emergency doors have been deactivated.
What powers the main cargo door?
The main cargo door is powered by the LEFT HYD SYSTEM.
How are the forward and aft cargo doors powered?
The forward and aft cargo doors are electrical and are powered through the GRND HANDLING BUS through external power or APU.
How are the access doors identified?
The access doors are identified as the E&E and forward access doors.
What does a LOCK FAIL light indicate?
The LOCK FAIL light indicates the FDAS door selector is in auto and the lock has failed or the system is disarmed.
What will the FDAS door do in the event of a complete loss of power?
The FDAS door will unlock with a complete loss of power.
