ati madhura cāpa hastāṁ aparimitā moda bāṇa saubhagyāṁ |

aruṇām atiśaya karuṇāṁ abhinava kula sundarīṁ vande ||

I bow to Parāśakti, who holds an exceedingly sweet bow of sugarcane in one hand and arrows that confer joy and prosperity in the other. She is red-complexioned like the sun at dawn and is abundantly compassionate. She shines in the cakra-s, from the mūlādhāra to the sahasrāra, with ever-new beauty.
