election campaign 1955 and 1959

A

in 1955 Attlee was old and out of date, he decided to delay his resigned as leader which did nit help. in 1959 Labour was more united because of the Bevinetes and Giatskells truce and they fought a good campaign, however he promised no tax increases and welfare expenditure, this was a mistake as he could not do any.
