Measures functional status of hospital patients in ADLs and assesses change. Can be self-report or administered by family member
Purpose of Lawton IADL scale
USED FOR OLDER ADULTS to screen independence in instrumental ADL. Can be self report or family member
Purpose of patient specific functional scales
Measure activities and activity limitations important to client. They name three things and rate their performance. Can be self or family member
Purpose of modified ashworth scale
Assesses muscle tone. 0-4 scale. 4 is rigid, 1 there is a catch then ROM can continue
Purpose of Katz index of ADL
Used & created for older adults. Assess functional independence in ADL
Purpose of Activity card sort
VERY COMMON. Sorts through cards to see what they did & didn’t do before injury

Assess static balance & fall risk in adult populations
