What are the 7 stages of shoulder pain following a stroke

A
  1. Constant, severe arm and shoulder pain in more than just the shoulder
  2. Intermittent, severe arm and shoulder pain in more than just the shoulder
  3. Constant shoulder pain in just the shoulder
  4. Intermittent shoulder pain in just the shoulder
  5. Shoulder pain is noted during testing, but the functional activities that the client normally performs are not affected by the pain
  6. No shoulder pain, but at least one prognostic indicator is present (arm is in low stage of recovery (stage 1 or 2), scapula is malaligned, loss of shoulder ROM (flexion/abduction less than 90 or ER less than 60)).
  7. Shoulder pain and prognostic indicators are absent
