Lab 1 Flashcards
What is the motion palpation for an AS Occiput?
Bilaterally fixed Occipital glide
What are 2 static palpation findings suggesting an AS Occiput?
- -Increased tension in subocciptal muscles
- -Pain over the nuchal lines bilaterally
What are 3 signs/symptoms of an AS Occiput?
- -Irritable
- -Breastfeed poorly
- -Disturbed sleeping habits
What is the motion palpation finding for a PS-RS or PS-LS Occiput?
Restricted Occipital lateral flexion
What are 2 static findings observed for PS-RS or PS-LS Occiput?
- -Pain over the ipsilateral nuchal line
- -Increased tension in suboccipital muscles
What is a visual postural finding for a PS-RS, PS-LS Occiput?
“High ear” (elevated mastoid)
What motion palpation finding is associated w/ an Atlas finding?
Restricted lateral flexion at C1/C2
What are 2 static palpation findings for an Atlas finding?
- -Tenderness over the styloid process (side of laterality)
- -Posterior arch (side of posterior rotation)
If you suspect an Atlas subluxation what will the infants posture be?
Tend to hold their head opposite the side of subluxation
What is the CP for a C1 listing?
Tip of index finger
What is the SCP for a C1 listing?
TVP on side of laterality
What is the Moro response?
Infant crystal 15-20 seconds following adjustment
How can you have an ESL/ESR (relative to C3) for infants?
Underdeveloped uncinates
Where will pain be felt for a C2 P listing?
Pain over both the spinous and both laminae
Where will pain be felt for a C2 PLS/PRS listing?
Pain at the lateral/inferior tip of the spinous and OPPOSITE articular pillar
