Q

Axillary A.

A
  • Axillary → extends to INF border of teres maj
    • Divided by pec minor:
      • Before: 1 branch
      • Middle: 2 branch
      • After: 3 branch
        • All supplies the walls of axilla

Q

Radial A

A
  • Radial A (lat side): under brachioradialis, winds backwards at insertion of brachioradialis → through anatomical snuff box → pierces 1st dorsal interosseous → into palm
    • Divided into:
      • Superior branch
        • Completed by superior branch of ulna A → superior palmar arch
      • Deep branch
        • Deep palmar arch → completed by deep palmar branch of ulna A
          • Btw Carpal bones & interossei
          • Gives series of deep MC A

Q

Ulna A

A
  • Ulna A (med) – under flexor carpi ulnaris
    • Gives branch off around 1cm from origin
      • Common interosseous A (deep btw bones)
        • ANT of interosseous membrane – innervate deep muscles
        • POS of interosseous membrane – muscles of POS compartment of forearm
    • Superficial to flexor retinaculum → enters palm ∴exposed to laceration
    • Branches into
      • Superficial (curves laterally) → Common palmar digital A → Proper digital A (one for each side of finger)
      • Deep

Q

Deep Veins

A
  • Follows A
  • Ulna & radial V have venae comitantes (at least to elbow joint level)

Q

Superficial Veins

A
  • Begins at dorsum of limbs → Dorsal venous arch in palm
  • Cephalic Vein: (LAT)
    • ~ radial border of forearm → in front of elbow (ANT) → Lat to biceps → runs into delto-pectoral groove → clavipectoral fascia → goes deep to join the axillary V
      • *Gives off median cubital V (at elbow)*
  • Basilic Vein: (MED)
    • From med of arch → ANT forearm (MED) → half up MED biceps → goes deep → joins brachial V → joins axillary

Q

Lymphs nodes

A
  • All UL drains to axillary lymph nodes (UQ of chest wall also drains there)
  • Deep: follows major A
  • Sup: drains sup structures → follows superficial V
    • Pectoral (ANT) axillary
  • Subscapular (POS) axillary
  • Humeral (LAT) axillary
    • All drain to central axillary → into apical axillary
