What is an FCU?
A
FCU consists of a heat/cool exchanger and fan
It is used to control the temperature in the space where it’s installed. Controlled using a thermostat

What is the difference between 2 pipe FCU and 4 pipe?
A
2 = heat/cool at any 1 time
4 = pipe can do both heat/cool in different areas

What is HVAC?
A
Heating, ventilation, air conditioning

What is displacement?
A
Cool air supplied at a low velocity from a low level terminal located within the occupied zone

What is an AHU?
A
AHU = air handling unit - device used to regulate and circulate air as part of a HVAC system

What is a BMS?
A
BMS installed to make buildings comfortable and efficient
They are computer-based systems used to monitor and control building services e.g. lighting, fire alarms etc
