What is Behaviour?
An animal reacting to any stimulus given or present in the animals environment.
Why do we study Behaviour? (think of at least 2)
Improve captive animal management
Improve animal welfare
Manage animal populations
Why does studying behaviour help us when caring for an animal in captivity?
Through their behaviour and animal is communicating it’s feelings so can be often a good indicator of their welfare state.
What is Ethology? (history)
-It is the study of animal behaviour.
-Stems from prehistoric times- used behaviour to hunt.

What is Ecology?
The relationship between species and environment.

He found out about imprinting!
